Listing wizard
You'll turn an item into an eBay title and a designed description, ready to paste into eBay.
The Listing wizard writes your eBay listing for you. Pick an item, and it builds a title that buyers will find and a description in one of five designs. Copy them both into eBay and you're done. The same item always gives the same listing, and nothing is guessed: every word comes from what you fill in.
The Listing wizard is part of Pro. Open it from Listing wizard in the sidebar, or under More on a phone.
The Listing wizard is open to everyone while MINT HQ is in beta. After the beta it's part of Pro.
Start with your item
Type in Search your unsold items and pick the item. Its name, size, colour and brand are filled in for you. Selling something that isn't in your stock? Type it into The item instead.
Then work down the cards on the left. Each one opens from its heading.
- The item: the name, size, colour and code. Start again clears it, and you can undo that for a few seconds.
- Condition: pick a condition. Score out of 10 follows it until you choose your own score, or No score. Add anything a buyer should know about its condition in In your words.
- In the box: What’s included (the box, spare laces, a receipt) and Good to know for anything else about this item.
- More details: the photo, and Presale with its Release date for something you're selling before it lands.
- Your store: set it up once and it goes on every listing. Your store name and tagline, how fast you send, your returns, a line for On every listing (say, "Sent double-boxed."), the authentic stamp and Store feedback.
A new store promises nothing: Dispatch and Returns start on Off, the authentic stamp is off, and with no store name the listing shows none. Pick the dispatch and returns that match your eBay policies. The listing says only what you pick, so it never promises something your policies don't.
The title
The title is built as you type, up to eBay's 80 characters. Found in search under it ticks off the words buyers search for: the brand, the size, the colour and the code. One that's missing turns amber: press it to fill it in.
You can change the title yourself. Rebuild it puts the built one back.
The description
Choose one of five designs, then a colour, or pick your own from the colour wheel. Use Computer and Phone to see it as buyers will, and Light and Dark to check both. The listing follows each buyer's own light or dark setting.
To show a photo, add the address of a photo you've already uploaded to eBay in More details. Open the photo on eBay, right-click it, choose Copy image address and paste it in. This works on a computer only. If the photo doesn't load, the listing leaves it out rather than show an empty box.
With Store feedback on, add how many positive reviews you have and the footer shows it with a plus, such as "300+ positive reviews", so it stays true as more come in.
Put it on eBay
- Copy the titlePress Copy next to the title and paste it into eBay's title box.
- Copy the descriptionPress Copy HTML. The first time, it opens Your store so you can check what your listing promises. Press it again to copy.
- Paste it into eBayIn eBay's Description, switch to HTML with the </> button, then paste.
When you've copied it, Next listing clears the item and keeps your store, ready for the next one.
On a phone, switch between Item and Listing at the top. The title and Copy HTML sit at the bottom of the Listing tab.
Your store and the listing you're working on are kept on this device, so a refresh or a trip to eBay doesn't lose them. They don't follow you to another device yet.
